Software Developer II - iOS

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking an Intermediate iOS Developer to join its Montreal office and support the Retail product group. The role focuses on expanding Lightspeed's reach into new markets and enhancing its advanced Retail commerce platform. The developer will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to improving engineering practices and delivering state-of-the-art technology.

What this role involves:

• Collaborating with industry talents to enhance the iOS app.
• Designing and implementing efficient mobile applications for iOS devices using Swift.
• Maintaining existing integrations and expanding into new markets.
• Engaging with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and cross-functional teams.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and brainstorming sessions.
• Championing high standards in code quality and system reliability.
• Sharing insights and adopting best practices in iOS development.

Requirements:

• Advanced programming skills in Swift and Objective-C.
• Good knowledge of Structured Concurrency, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, REST APIs.
• Experience in writing automated unit and functional tests.
• Good conceptual understanding of software design.
• Experience with local network communication and external accessories is a plus.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to function effectively in a team.
• Eager to learn and make decisions.
