ExtraHop is seeking a Director of Sales Engineering to lead and develop a team of Sales Engineers. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical engagement and leadership responsibilities. The Director will foster a high-performance culture, ensure the delivery of world-class technical expertise to customers, and support the sales organization to meet revenue targets. ExtraHop is a market leader in network detection and response (NDR) technology, committed to helping organizations achieve complete visibility, real-time threat detection, and proactive security.
Responsibilities: - Recruit, hire, and retain top talent within the Sales Engineering team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing regular feedback and tailored growth plans aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to influence product direction and align technical sales strategies with business priorities.
- Act as a senior technical advisor, supporting complex sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with key customer stakeholders, channel partners, and alliance partners.
- Standardize and continuously improve Sales Engineering processes.
Requirements: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar technical pre-sales role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep understanding of enterprise networking technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud platforms.
- Expertise in IT operations, application monitoring, and security solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to support team members and engage in customer-facing activities.
