Trading Engineer, Custody

Job Description

BitMEX, a leading crypto derivatives exchange, is seeking a Trading Engineer to join its Wallets & Funds team. This team is responsible for the secure custody of bitcoin deposits and enables trading customers to make secure deposits as margin in the Trading Engine.

The Trading Engineer will contribute to increasing the security and efficiency of deposits and onboarding new users.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining software to credit customer’s cryptocurrency deposits and prepare withdrawals.
• Improving test coverage of existing codebases and engaging in test-driven development.
• Assisting in architecting new cryptocurrency and wallet infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience working as a team on a Python codebase.
• Familiarity with code-review and pull-request based workflow.
• Experience writing software that speaks a variety of network protocols.
