Business Development Representative - Energy

Palmetto, recognized by Forbes as one of the fastest-growing private companies, is seeking an Energy Advisor. Palmetto focuses on democratizing the renewable energy industry, connecting homeowners with solar power, HVAC, heat pumps, and energy storage systems. The company empowers sales professionals and solar installation companies with its proprietary platform, financing, and project management.

The Energy Advisor will manage direct-to-consumer leads, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and developing strategies for sales support across e-commerce channels.

Responsibilities include:

• Fielding inbound sales and customer inquiries.
• Managing support tickets and inbound requests.
• Reviewing pipeline and owning projects through design completion.
• Providing resources and guidance on best practices.
• Ensuring working queues meet defined SLOs.
• Assisting in the continuous improvement of internal processes.
• Coordinating with project coordinators, sales teams, and operational groups.
• Maintaining compliance with Palmetto standards.
• Proactively improving Palmetto’s Net Promoter Score.
• Engaging with customers to upsell products and promote the referral program.
• Working with analytics and technology teams to map customer journeys.
• Identifying friction points in workflows and providing targeted support.
• Collaborating on new product launches.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer support or sales.
• Experience in the Energy industry preferred.
• BS/BA Preferred.
• Sales and Customer service mindset.
• Problem solver.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills (G Suite, Salesforce).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Spanish speaker is a plus.
