Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead its engineering efforts in Bengaluru, India. This role is a key member of the Site Leadership team for Adyen's Bengaluru Tech and Operations Hub. The Head of Engineering will develop and scale payment innovations for merchants in India, contributing to Adyen's global platform.Role involves:

• Building the payments engine for the India market.
• Providing guidance and purpose to engineering teams.
• Serving as the primary face of engineering for Indian merchants.
• Overseeing execution for key projects.
• Being part of the Bengaluru Tech & Operations Hub Site Leadership Team.
• Representing Adyen at tech events and fintech forums.
• Growing and nurturing high-performing engineering teams.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience hiring and managing a software development organization (50-100+ engineers).
• Skilled in building large-scale, distributed systems, ideally with expertise in Java.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable streamlining engineering operations and refining product requirements.
