Team Lead - Documentation

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Team Lead - Documentation to join their team in Chicago. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. In this role, the Team Lead will partner with the Global Documentation Team Lead to guide a team of writers who document high-impact solutions for a developer audience.

What this role involves:

• Leading a high-performing team of writers.
• Supporting the projects and professional growth of writers.
• Helping the team deliver a docs experience that developers will love.
• Strategizing solutions to automate and optimize documentation and tooling.
• Partnering on driving strategic initiatives.
• Setting the team’s priorities in alignment with broader business goals.
• Collaborating with the Global Team Lead on strategic initiatives.
• Co-leading and executing Adyen’s AI developer experience strategy.
• Engaging with stakeholders and collaborators to understand their needs.
• Removing blockers and improving ways of working across teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing documentation teams, preferably in API docs.
• Experience in leading documentation projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional leads and stakeholders.
• Ability to inspire, influence, and communicate across all levels of management.
• Experience writing documentation for UI components, SDKs, and APIs is a plus.
• Proficiency in using Git and working with a docs-as-code workflow is helpful.
• Open to some domestic and international travel.

What Adyen offers:

• The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000.
• Hybrid work model with 3 days per week in the Chicago office.
