Job Description

The New York Times is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join their Storytelling Mission. This role involves collaborating with the newsroom to innovate across storytelling formats and experiences. The Associate Product Manager will support product development across editorially grounded projects, partnering with editors, designers, engineers, and analysts to enhance reader engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Product Manager in defining the roadmap.
  • Translate product ideas into clear tasks for engineering and design partners.
  • Participate in team ceremonies and promote a collaborative team culture.
  • Develop relationships with partners in Engineering, Design, Data, and the Newsroom.
  • Support the team in monitoring product performance and gathering insights.
  • Demonstrates support and understanding of journalistic independence.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of professional experience in a related field.
  • Experience using data to guide decision-making.
  • Experience with project delivery within a set timeframe.

The New York Times offers:

  • A hybrid-schedule role based in New York City (two days a week in office).
