Senior Analyst, Legal

Job Description

Global Atlantic Financial Group is seeking a Senior Analyst to join their Retail Insurance Legal team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves preparing, reviewing, and filing contract forms for various annuity products with state Departments of Insurance and the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission. The Senior Analyst will also support the product implementation team with enterprise-wide new product development.Responsibilities:

• Analyzing legal standards of state insurance laws and/or Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission standards.
• Corresponding and negotiating with state regulators on objections to product submissions.
• Preparing new product submissions in SERFF.
• Reviewing, filing, and gaining approval of advertising and enterprise branding initiatives.
• Maintaining record of regulated forms history.
• Supporting internal operations and third-party administrators.
• Maintaining professional contact with state insurance departments.

Qualifications:

• Five or more (5+) years of experience in annuity and/or life insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to life insurance and annuities.
• Experience filing insurance products via SERFF.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with good organization skills.
• Familiarity with key aspects of insurance administration.
• PC skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional and other applicable software.
