Senior Front-End Engineer, Client Onboarding (Compliance) at BitMEX

BitMEX is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join their Product Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that ensure the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. This involves developing and maintaining software systems that track and monitor regulatory changes, manage compliance documentation, and automate compliance processes.

The role involves:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand compliance requirements and business processes.
• Developing and testing software to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security.
• Monitoring and analyzing data to identify potential compliance issues.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for compliance software.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in compliance software development.
• Maintaining compliance software documentation and training materials for end users.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code (JavaScript, React, Node.js).
• Optimizing systems for performance and security.
• Contributing to architectural decisions and technical strategies.
• Participating in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring coding standards.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (React, Node.js) and modern web development.
• Experience building APIs (REST, WebSockets) and microservices.
• Solid understanding of scalable and secure system design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
