Job Description
Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join their team in Plainsboro, New Jersey. This is an on-call position that offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms. No formal Montessori training is required, as the company provides training as part of the orientation and onboarding process. This role is an excellent way to get a foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori, with many substitutes transitioning into full-time Assistant Teachers when openings arise.Role involves:- Supporting multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms.
- Providing coverage for full-time teachers who are out sick or on vacation.
- Participating in training provided by Guidepost Montessori.
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid state background check.
- Warm and friendly demeanor.
- ECE units or recent teaching experience with children 0-6 (preferred).
- Opportunity to work in a Montessori environment.
- Training provided by Guidepost Montessori.
- Flexible, on-call schedule.
- Potential for advancement to a full-time Assistant Teacher position.
