Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join their team in Beaverton, Oregon. This is an on-call position that supports multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms. No formal Montessori training is required, as the company provides training during orientation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience at Guidepost Montessori, with potential for transitioning into a full-time Assistant Teacher position.Guidepost Montessori is dedicated to fostering independence and developing capable thinkers through authentic Montessori programs.Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting mixed-age Montessori classrooms
  • Providing coverage for full-time teachers who are absent
  • Participating in training and onboarding programs
Requirements:
  • Negative TB test within the last 12 months
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid state background check
  • Warm and friendly demeanor
  • Preferred: ECE units or recent teaching experience with children 0-6
