Job Description
Guidepost Montessori in Mahwah, New Jersey is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to nurture infants in an environment designed for growth and independence. The Lead Guide will support a mixed-age class of infant age children in a Montessori environment.Guidepost Montessori believes children are capable and design an education for independence.   • Observing each child to understand their needs.
  • Preparing an orderly environment that fosters trust and independence.
  • Cultivating independence and self-confidence.
  • Forming personal connections with each child.
  • Communicating and collaborating with parents.
An ideal candidate:
  • Interested in pursuing certified Montessori training or have a Montessori diploma.
  • Has experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting.
  • Familiar with child-led philosophies or open to learning more.
  • Has Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
  • Earned a Bachelor’s Degree (any subject).
