Cloud Engineer - Application Automation/Migration

Job Description

Spektrum is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in The Hague, Netherlands. The NCIA is migrating users and workloads to the public cloud, and this role will provide Cloud Engineering services to the CTO-CCoE team, focusing on application migration.

The Cloud Engineer will work with application owners and stakeholders to perform technical analysis, gather requirements, and develop Application Assessment Reports. They will advise on migration options, support application teams in designing cloud deployments, and assist in the technical planning and execution of application migrations.

Requirements:

• Experience in planning and executing migrations of services and applications to the cloud
• Experience in analysing applications and services and their dependencies and requirements
• Experience in Azure and AWS
• Experience in DevSecOps and associated tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitLab and Jenkins
• Experience in Automated Deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Azure ARM and AWS CloudFormation
• Experience in containerization of applications and their deployment using Kubernetes and helm charts
• Experience with and knowledge of programming languages including Java and .NET
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in using Agile planning and execution and the Scrum methodology
• Business English proficiency
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
