Senior Application Support Engineer

Job Description

Spektrum is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in Braine l'Alleud, Belgium. The NCIA is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and IT services to NATO member countries and partners. This role involves providing ongoing L3 support for the NBAC Business Area during the migration of on-premise applications to the cloud, focusing on existing COTS applications while offering expert guidance on cloud migration efforts.Role involves:

• Atlassian Products configuration and automation
• Containerization and Kubernetes management
• Cloud Configuration (Azure, AWS)
• COTS End-User Support
• Incident Logging and Tracking
• Escalation of complex issues
• Knowledge Base Management
• Technical support for restricted areas
• Communication and Collaboration with users and IT teams

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Linux and Windows server infrastructure
• Expertise in Jira Service Management (JSM)
• Strong experience with Advanced JQL
• Deep knowledge of Software Programming Principles
• Good knowledge of JAVA or Groovy Programming Language
• Good knowledge of Version Control Systems such as GIT
• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Expert Knowledge of web servers such as IIS and Apache Web Server
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles and Agile Methodology
• Expert knowledge of networking infrastructure and PKI
• Deep understanding of security constraints and NCIA/NATO security directives
• Business English proficiency; Business French is desirable
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
