Job Description
MERGE is seeking an Account Director to lead the client services team and forge lasting relationships between clients and the agency. The Account Director will be a problem solver, working across various channels and driving results. They will collaborate with a team, use their industry expertise, and implement ideas in a fast-paced environment.
Role involves:
- Assimilating business, customer, and marketplace insights.
- Developing strategies and marketing programs.
- Maintaining communication with client teams.
- Educating clients with strategy, ideas, trends, and thought leadership.
- Building relationships with clients.
- Identifying additional business needs and implementing solutions.
- Crafting strategic creative solutions for clients.
- Managing and mentoring the account team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of account management experience at an advertising agency or similar.
- Life Sciences/Pharma experience and understanding of the MLR process.
- Strong background with strategic ideation, tactical activation, and financial management.
- Superior professional communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to be a leader in a collaborative environment.
- Advanced client management skills.
- Commitment to the client, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Managerial experience of at least 1 direct report.
