Senior Software Engineer: GenAI Team

Job Description

Butternut Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their GenAI team. This role involves working closely with the CTO, Head of Product, engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to solve customer problems using generative AI. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for shipping improvements to AI tools, automating internal team processes, and collaborating with other teams to enhance digital product experiences. Responsibilities:

• Work directly with stakeholders to iteratively and quickly ship improvements to AI tools.
• Constantly have an MVP mindset to test and learn quickly, shipping early versions of products to rapidly get feedback.
• Work with our Director of Engineering every day directly on AI projects.
• Work with our Head of Product to help shape the AI roadmap.
• Gain real-world experience with cutting edge tools, deploying them at scale.

Requirements:

• Strong customer-focused and product-minded approach to building software.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at navigating product challenges.
• Thrives in early ideation stages and shares work-in-progress to gather feedback.
• Constant drive to ship products quickly and iterate on them.
• Comfortable managing technical debt pragmatically.
• Passion for startups and small teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
