Job Description
iHerb is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage freight operations. This role involves comprehensive accounting for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The Senior Accountant will manage freight expenses, perform audits, and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Role Involves:
  • Managing end-to-end accounting for domestic and international freight expenses.
  • Ensuring accurate G/L coding and timely processing of freight invoices.
  • Developing and maintaining procedures for freight cost allocation.
  • Performing regular audits of freight charges against contracts.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Serving as the primary finance point of contact for freight-related inquiries.
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on freight spend.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations for all freight-related accounts.
  • Documenting and performing internal controls, including SOX compliance.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on freight accounting.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks, including SOX requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data modeling)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills
