Job Description
SingleStore is seeking a Solutions Engineer to address technical challenges in the data-driven world. The Solutions Engineer will serve as a trusted technical expert, demonstrating how SingleStore can meet customers' business needs. This role involves collaborating with Enterprise Account Executives to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts by leveraging technical skills and business acumen to create impactful demos.Role involves:
  • Partnering with Account Executives to close new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Designing, developing, and deploying Proofs of Concept (POCs) with prospective customers.
  • Driving the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle.
  • Partnering with internal teams to share feedback on customer needs and requests.
Requirements:
  • Based in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area or planning to relocate there.
  • Native-level Japanese and professional-level English proficiency.
  • Experience selling infrastructure software, preferably a database or distributed system.
  • Firm understanding of database fundamentals.
  • Expertise executing POCs and deploying complex technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of databases and competitive products.
  • Experience making technical presentations.
  • Post-sales experience with database systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, PHP, or other language.
  • Ability to travel within the region and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a technical field.
