Multimedia Producer

Job Description

Newsela and Generation Genius are seeking a Multimedia Producer to join their team. This role involves shaping creative and production processes for a new animated video series. The Multimedia Producer will collaborate with the Director of Multimedia to bring the educational vision to life. They will handle post-production, light animation, audio and video shoot direction, and freelancer coordination.Role involves:

• Video Editing: Cut and assemble video content.
• Basic Animation & Motion Graphics: Create light animation and visual effects.
• Graphic Design Support: Edit and format assets.
• Shoot Direction & Support: Assist in planning and capturing video and audio sessions.
• Project Management: Help manage production timelines and coordinate with freelancers.
• Creative Collaboration: Work closely with writers and subject matter experts.
• Studio Building: Support the development of workflows and asset libraries.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in multimedia production.
• Experience in educational media or children’s content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Familiarity with audio direction and video production workflows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
