UI Designer

Job Description

Mixbook is seeking a talented and motivated UI Designer to join their growing product design team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and a passion for creating beautiful, functional e-commerce experiences. The UI Designer will work closely with experienced designers, product managers, and engineers to support the creation of intuitive, visually engaging user interfaces across Mixbook's digital platforms. This position reports to the Director of Product Design.

What This Role Involves:

• Applying design best practices, accessibility principles, and responsive design techniques.
• Designing solutions that improve conversion rates and elevate the shopping experience.
• Creating high-fidelity mockups and UI assets.
• Driving the UI process from wireframes to implementation.
• Maintaining the design system and component libraries.
• Developing responsive interfaces for various screen sizes.
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Articulating design concepts and decisions.
• Participating in design reviews and team critiques.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of professional UI design experience.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design fundamentals.
• Expert proficiency with Figma or similar design tools.
• Foundational understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Basic knowledge of usability and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with responsive design concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
