Job Description
Clear Street is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Control Engineering team in London. This role involves automating Compliance & Finance regulatory processes by creating solutions that process large amounts of data from the data warehouse to generate clean, correct reporting. The Data Engineer will partner with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams to understand regulatory/financial obligations and business requirements, translating them into scalable solutions. As a tech lead, the candidate will provide technical guidance, prioritize work, perform hands-on design and development, and evolve technical standards.

The role involves:
  • Automating compliance and finance regulatory processes.
  • Processing large amounts of data from the data warehouse.
  • Generating clean and correct regulatory reports.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Providing technical guidance and code review.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of software design and development experience.
  • Experience generating financial industry regulatory reports (EMIR, MFID, SFTR, CPR, K Factor etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and database design.
  • Experience working with data warehouses like Snowflake.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine solutions.
