FreeWill, an award-winning social-good startup, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team. The Senior DevOps Engineer will report to the Platform Engineering Manager and play a crucial role in improving FreeWill's cloud and engineering platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Piloting technical initiatives to improve the quality, velocity, and sustainability of FreeWill's cloud and engineering platforms.
• Clearly explaining solutions to complex problems and demonstrating the ability to pilot and impart knowledge effectively.
• Fostering a culture of ownership, empowerment, and psychological safety while interacting with diverse teams.
• Contributing ideas to improve product, technology, and team practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with AWS, specifically with serverless architecture (API Gateway, Lambda, Cloudfront, S3), EKS, and RDS.
• Prior production experience with the Serverless Framework.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps toolsets for Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
• Experience scaling production cloud systems for complex web applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in secure cloud architecture, network design, and IAM governance.
