Job Description
Marqeta is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Technology Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to influence the company's technology infrastructure and operations, guiding its tech growth. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Business Technology and lead the IT team, ensuring smooth user support, secure infrastructure, and innovative collaboration methods for the hybrid workforce. This Oakland, California-based role is crucial for creating a tech-driven environment that boosts user productivity.
Role involves:
- Supervising IT services, including IT Helpdesk, AV equipment, laptop management, and Enterprise Collaboration tooling.
- Leading a team of IT operations professionals, including system administrators and AV engineers.
- Formulating and enforcing IT policies and best practices.
- Establishing and tracking key performance indicators.
- Collaborating with various teams to align IT systems with business objectives.
- Overseeing the IT portfolio and setting priorities.
- Supervising hardware, software, and contract management.
- Working with the security team to ensure IT systems' safety.
- Overseeing the IT budget.
- Providing leadership and development for the IT team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within IT services.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, system administration, and operations.
- Deep understanding of IT systems, software, and hardware.
- Strong understanding of IT compliance and security protocols.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong planning skills.
- Good understanding of the IT industry.
- Experience with vendor management, contracts, licenses, and budget.
- Experience with asset management, security, and lifecycle.
