Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking a Senior Archaeologist/Program Manager to join their team in Northern California. This role involves managing and executing cultural resources projects, including monitoring, surveys, data recovery, and report preparation. The successful candidate will direct evaluations, research, and analyses, leveraging their in-depth knowledge and experience.ESA is looking for someone who can manage projects and people, conduct archaeological investigations, and author technical documents. The candidate will work within an interdisciplinary team, interacting with clients and cultivating relationships through business development activities.
Responsibilities: - Manage and conduct archaeological resources assessments.
- Lead archaeological resources survey.
- Manage and conduct archival research.
- Serve as primary author of archaeological resource assessment reports.
- Supervise project teams.
- Participate in and/or lead client meetings.
- Prepare draft scopes of work and budgets for projects.
Requirements: - 10+ years of experience managing and performing cultural resources projects.
- Strong regulatory background with CEQA, NEPA, and Section 106.
- Experience with business development and people management.
- Excellent technical skills, writing, and organizational capabilities.
- Graduate degree in archaeology, geoarchaeology, or related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
