Job Description

Xometry, a company that connects people with manufacturers, is seeking a Software Developer to join their IT team. The Software Developer will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and expanding CAD add-ons, developing and optimizing backend services, enhancing the frontend experience, and troubleshooting technical issues.

What this role involves:

  • Maintaining, improving, and expanding CAD add-ons for SolidWorks and Fusion 360
  • Developing and optimizing backend services using Python (FastAPI, Fusion 360 API)
  • Enhancing the frontend experience using TypeScript
  • Developing the SolidWorks add-in client-side using .NET technologies
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborating with product managers and designers to create innovative solutions
  • Writing high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing CAD integrations or add-ons (SolidWorks/Fusion 360 preferred)
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Fusion 360 API), TypeScript (frontend development), and .NET (for SolidWorks client-side add-in)
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills in English
