Strategic Community Specialist (contract)

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Strategic Community Specialist to join its International Community team and help grow its client base in the Netherlands. This role is integral to the Product organization, focusing on fostering local communities and building bridges with volunteer moderators. The Community Operations Specialist will be an expert in the Dutch market, proficient in English, and focused on proactive initiatives to innovate and scale Reddit's international consumer playbook. The insights derived from relationships and experiments will help accelerate Reddit's growth in the Netherlands.This role involves:

• Gaining a deep understanding of the Dutch market to identify user and moderator pain points.
• Cultivating, recruiting, educating, and growing a local community of moderators.
• Being a public face with local volunteer moderators to build trust and drive engagement.
• Iterating, innovating, and scaling the consumer growth playbook.
• Communicating quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the international consumer growth playbook.
• Running reports, building dashboards, analyzing data, and setting KPIs.
• Working cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and BD teams.

Reddit expects the candidate to have:

• 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Dutch culture.
• Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and cultural intricacies within the Netherlands.
• Succinct and persuasive communication skills.
• Outstanding execution and high attention to detail.
• Deep interest in developing and driving projects, framing issues, and seeking solutions.
• Proficiency in Dutch & English and based in the EU timezone
• Proficient in SQL
