Senior iOS Software Engineer, Reddit Chat

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join their Chat team in London. This role involves building innovative solutions for millions of Reddit users worldwide, focusing on creating a real-time, casual chat experience within the Reddit community. The engineer will work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to execute product and business strategies, building novel products and features for the iOS platform.Reddit values moving quickly, maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit, and being responsive to user feedback. The successful candidate will contribute to product and business strategy, tackle technical challenges, and collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and business analysts.Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Craft compelling user experiences for iOS.
• Contribute to team strategy and participate in product reviews.
• Scope, estimate, and prioritize conflicting needs.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture and collaborate with other engineers.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of chat features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of iOS development experience with Swift.
• Experience leading large iOS projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with modern iOS frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and Concurrency.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver great user experiences.
