Staff Fullstack Engineer, Product Development Team

Job Description

CareRev, a nurse-founded and nurse-led workforce platform, is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to join their Product Development Team. This is a remote position within the United States. The Staff Software Engineer will contribute across the stack, with a strong focus on the back end, building the features and infrastructure that power CareRev's platform. The ideal candidate will be involved in setting the technical direction for the team, guiding architectural decisions, and driving critical projects. They will work closely with product and design to create intuitive and performant experiences, owning features end-to-end from architecture to monitoring. What this role involves:

• Building and maintaining features across the stack (Rails, React)
• Setting the technical direction for the team
• Guiding architectural decisions and driving critical projects
• Working closely with product and design to create intuitive and performant experiences
• Owning features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Expanding and maintaining Rails-based APIs and backend services
• Improving developer experience by contributing to tooling and CI/CD workflows
• Bringing product thinking to the work; helping define what and why, not just how

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software development, preferably in a user-facing product context
• Experience building a multi-sided marketplace
• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with React or other similar front-end frameworks
• Experience working closely across a variety of teams, including product management, design, and engineering
• Deep understanding and application of relational databases such as PostgreSQL
