Job Description
Checkbook is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of its FinTech tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting intuitive interfaces, resolving bugs, and transforming payment challenges into seamless product experiences. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop polished, high-performing web applications.
- Build and ship frontend interfaces, integrated cleanly with backend APIs.
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable APIs and application logic in Python.
- Occasionally dive into database design and optimize queries as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with product and design teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience building robust web applications.
- Strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (React and/or Angular).
- Proficiency with Python and web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Ability to translate product requirements into user-friendly solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
