Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Audio Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of luxury electric vehicles. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and manufacture world-class automotive audio systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mechanical engineering, a can-do attitude, and a drive for perfection.
The Role Involves:
- Collaborating with product design and audio system architects.
- Designing and refining mechanical components and enclosures for audio devices using CAD software.
- Selecting appropriate materials considering durability, weight, and acoustic properties.
- Developing and overseeing prototypes and conducting tests.
- Working with manufacturing partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.
- Considering automotive body structures, NVH, sealing, and stiffness for optimal acoustic performance.
- Implementing quality control processes.
- Conducting testing and validation of mechanical components.
- Maintaining detailed design documentation.
- Applying knowledge of mass production processes.
- Staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- First principle thinking.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL).
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.
- Experience with prototyping and testing mechanical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for audio technology.
- Experience releasing parts for mass production with knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA, and quality standards.
