Job Description
Khan Academy is seeking a Content Associate to create high-quality SAT practice test explanations. The Content Associate will focus on crafting clear, engaging, and informative explanations for Practice Tests of Official SAT® Prep. The role involves contributing to the development of content that enhances the SAT learning experience, helping students improve their performance by understanding the concepts tested in practice exams.
The content team consists of creators from around the world who develop videos, articles, and practice questions. The Content Associate's work will directly contribute to the educational mission of Khan Academy by providing free, accessible resources for learners everywhere.
What this role involves:
- Writing detailed, student-friendly explanations for SAT practice test questions
- Drafting new SAT-aligned practice questions
- Developing, revising, and expanding articles that support explanations
- Collaborating with the content team
- Using data and user feedback to improve content quality
- Tracking content usage and performance
- Driving the expansion of the practice test bank
Requirements:
- Fluency with TeX (LaTeX, MathJax, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation for educational materials
- Minimum 2 years of experience tutoring or teaching preparation for the SAT
- Strong understanding of SAT content and test-taking strategies
- Ability to break down complex concepts into clear, concise explanations
- Experience with educational technology platforms or content management systems
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proven cross-cultural competency skills
- A passion for education and helping students succeed on their SAT exams
