Job Description
Warby Parker is seeking a service-oriented Sales Manager to support a team of exceptional Retail Advisors in creating the best possible glasses-shopping experiences. This role, also known as Assistant Store Manager, involves engaging with customers, contributing to process improvement, and participating in special projects. The Sales Manager will directly impact the company's success while gaining exposure to strategic operations and learning from business and Retail leaders.

What this role involves:

  • Communicating Warby Parker's values and brand philosophy to customers
  • Owning troubleshooting for our point-of-sale system
  • Overseeing the store's inventory management procedures
  • Developing new processes that improve Warby Parker’s ability to serve customers and optimize their shopping experiences
  • Managing and implementing daily zoning schedules
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Leading meetings at the beginning of shifts and at the end of the day, plus roundtables and other meetings as needed
  • Directing a team of 8–10 team members, consistently demonstrating what great service looks like
  • Helping conduct team members' biannual performance reviews with the Store Leader and Associate Store Leader
  • Assisting with new hire on-boarding and ongoing training
  • Treating all of our customers with respect and cultivate an inclusive, service-minded work culture

Requirements:

  • 1+ year in a management position
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Managerial experience in sales or operations at a complex, customer-focused retailer
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • Upbeat and empathetic team player
  • Driven to be a top performer and help teammates reach targets
  • Able to bring a positive, fun energy to the workplace
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
