Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Assistant Manager for their Del Mar Highlands location in San Diego, CA. This role involves creating excellent customer experiences by utilizing product expertise and professional skills. The Optical Assistant Manager will lead a team of Opticians, provide coaching, and consult with customers as needed.
Role involves:
- Working directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs.
- Taking and recording measurements for eyewear.
- Adjusting and fitting eyewear with accuracy.
- Ensuring finished eyewear meets optical standards.
- Explaining prescription terminology and product offerings.
- Managing a team of Opticians.
- Providing feedback and development conversations.
- Upholding exceptional service standards.
- Supporting store systems and inventory databases.
Requirements:
- Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states).
- 2+ years in a management position.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Passion for eyewear and retail.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
