Job Description
OKX is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist, Risk to provide strategic insights and advanced analytical capabilities. The candidate will identify fraud patterns, leverage machine learning techniques, and provide timely recommendations. They will collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings and provide technical guidance for engineering projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, and a passion for problem-solving.

Role involves:
  • Identifying complex fraud patterns and their technical root causes.
  • Serving as a technical SME by sharing new data mining techniques.
  • Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Providing technical guidance for engineering projects.
  • Using Link Analysis/Graph analytics to find and mitigate fraud networks.
  • Applying unsupervised learning methods to augment existing supervised models.
  • Developing machine learning models.
  • Partnering with product and engineering teams in implementing features and models.

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree (or PhD) in a quantitative discipline or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of fraud analytics experience in financial services or FinTechs.
  • Crypto/Blockchain experience.
  • Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques / algorithms.
  • Advanced programming skills of statistical / analytical software (SQL, R, Python,etc.).
  • Successful track record of owning and driving large, complex data analysis projects.
  • Demonstrated capacity for innovation and outside-the-box thinking.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Strong communicator in both writing and speaking.
  • Multi-tasking and strong project management skills.
