Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II, BiW/DFM, to contribute to the design and manufacturability of Body in White (BIW) components and closure systems. This role involves collaborating with Product Design Engineering, Product Studio Teams, and cross-functional teams to ensure the BIW product is optimized for manufacturing. The Manufacturing Engineer II will be instrumental in designing new BIW equipment and processes.
- Supporting the DFM for new BIW and closures products
- Supporting process optimization using DFM
- Supporting simultaneous engineering of the line design
- Completing high level studies for proposed product designs
- Driving technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development
- Working collaboratively with project team on all stages of Body in White line development from conception to launch
- Using analytic problem-solving skills
- Using 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs
- Working with layout engineering to prepare and optimize Body in White equipment layouts
- Bachelor’s, Masters, or PhD Degree in Engineering required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Body in White Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with DFM and process design
- Experience in the automotive Body in White equipment design is a must
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments
- Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia
