Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer II to contribute to its automated manufacturing goals. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams, including R&D, Quality, Production, and Maintenance, to design, program, test, and commission automated test systems.
Role involves:
- Understanding test specifications and change requests from the R&D team.
- Designing test system hardware and modular test applications with user-friendly GUIs.
- Utilizing databases for storing test parameters and logging test data.
- Implementing user access control to modify test sequences and parameters from the GUI.
- Creating documentation during product development stages.
- Developing commissioning and validation plans for test equipment.
- Launching test systems on manufacturing lines and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Training maintenance and operations teams on troubleshooting.
- Working with Factory data visualization teams in creating dashboards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 1-2+ years of experience in developing automated test equipment for manufacturing.
- Experience launching automated test systems on high volume manufacturing lines.
- Knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits and components, cables, and connectors.
- Expertise in developing test application software using NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, NI Veristand, Python, Arduino IDE, MATLAB.
- Knowledge of communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN etc.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment for validation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to design electrical schematics using AutoCAD or Eplan.
- Knowledge of safety and EMI requirements related to high power applications.
