Job Description
Smartsheet is seeking a Regional Director for the DACH Region. This role is based in Munich, Germany, with hybrid or remote options available. The Regional Director will lead a team of field-based Account Executives across the DACH region, driving sales and developing customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have a history of leading a team to over-performance in quota attainment and developing customer accounts. They will report to the Regional Vice President, EMEA Sales.
Role involves:
- Leading the DACH Sales team to exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Serving as a player/coach in the execution of a complex, solution-based sales process
- Developing new business opportunities by coaching account executives
- Driving Smartsheet senior executive engagement in target accounts
- Partnering with Sales Engineering, Consulting, Customer Success, Partner team and Marketing management
- Proactively identifying and addressing issues that will increase growth velocity in the EMEA sales region
- Effectively predicting and delivering sales results through accurate sales forecasting
Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record in leading Strategic SaaS sales teams to exceed quotas
- Fluency in English and German
- Extensive experience of building sustainable and effective relationships with partners and selling through channel
- Proven ability to drive Strategic sales teams in executing land-and-expand sales strategies
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sales management of enterprise software, preferably Enterprise SaaS teams
- 10+ years of experience in the software industry with current SaaS experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth software company
- Smartsheet, Salesforce.com, Google Apps, Tableau skills
- Bachelors (BA/BS) degree required, MBA preferred
- Legally eligible to work in Germany on an ongoing basis
