Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, BiW Closures/DFM to lead the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) of new closures products and design new Body in White equipment. This role involves working with Product Design Engineering, Product Studio Teams, and other cross-functional teams to ensure product manufacturability and proper manufacturing process implementation.

The role involves:
  • Leading DFM for closures (Hood, Fender, Liftgate, and Doors).
  • Leading process optimization using DFM.
  • Leading simultaneous engineering of line design.
  • Completing high-level studies for proposed product designs.
  • Leading technical efforts of teams in complex process development.
  • Preparing and procuring items for station readiness.
  • Working with layout engineering to optimize Body in White line layouts.
  • Developing and implementing Body in White PFMEA standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s, Masters, or PhD Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Body in White DFM and Process Engineering.
  • DFM and process experience in closures including hemming.
  • Strong DFM background.
  • Experience in automotive Body in White equipment design/sustaining.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia, and Delmia.
