Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking a Manager (m/f/x) Business Development to focus on sales of Clinical and Development Opportunities. The role involves identifying and implementing new sales strategies, and building relationships with key stakeholders.Simtra BioPharma Solutions is a world-class Contract Development Manufacturing Organization, partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to bring their sterile injectable products to market. With facilities in Bloomington, Indiana, US and Halle/Westfalen, Germany, Simtra BioPharma Solutions offers a wide range of delivery systems. Their product types include biologics and small molecules, cytotoxics, highly potent compounds, diluents for reconstitution and vaccines.Role involves:
  • Prospecting for new leads and implementing cold campaigns.
  • Planning, directing, and controlling sales and business activities.
  • Negotiating contracts for contract manufacturing and clinical development.
  • Maintaining and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Presenting business proposals from development to commercial production.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, markets, customer needs, and trends.
  • Attending trade fairs, conferences, and seminars.
  • Taking a proactive role as a technical, customer-oriented interface.
Requirements:
  • Successfully completed studies in chemistry, industrial engineering, or a similar natural sciences degree.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or a comparable position.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, or healthcare.
  • Process Development/Commercial manufacturing experience in the sterile injectable field is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of initiative, self-organization, and hands-on mentality.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • 30%-50% Travel is required.
