Nu is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Data Business Unit in Berlin, Germany. The company is the largest digital banking platform outside of Asia, with over 105 million customers across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. This role involves building and maintaining the core data infrastructure that powers the business, working alongside talented engineers to design and implement data processing solutions.
The Senior Systems Engineer will contribute directly to the reliability, scalability, and accessibility of data, enabling data-driven decisions and innovative product development. It is a full remot job with possiblity to travel to Sao Paulo for events.
Responsibilities:
- Building scalable data platforms.
- Solving complex backend and infrastructure challenges.
- Managing the lifecycle of data processing clusters.
- Designing and implementing data processing solutions.
- Troubleshooting complex environments.
Requirements:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
- Solid understanding of Linux, file systems, and networking.
- Experience with functional programming or willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Autonomy and proactiveness.
