Manager, Battery Validation and Test

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Manager, Battery Validation and Test to lead test and validation activities for battery programs. The role involves technical leadership in battery testing, including validation, safety, and abuse. The successful candidate will manage a team of Technical PMs, Engineers, and Technicians, ensuring their operation, delivery, development, and safety. This position is a key part of Battery Operations leadership, supporting the team internally and with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities:

• Leading all Battery Validation and Safety tests.
• Developing collaborative relations with various teams.
• Leading multi-program DVP and PVP processes.
• Leading delivery of Battery Regulatory testing.
• Developing and improving test methodology and capability.
• Responsible for team growth through retention and recruitment.
• Providing Technical leadership to team and responsible for supporting team member personal development.
• Developing collaborative relations with key external partners.
• Supports development and use of remote company testing sites.
• Developing metrics to drive improvements in test efficiency.
• Leading ongoing continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
• Leading ongoing development of standard process documentation and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with Build and Test Manager to develop test strategy and contribute to budget management.
• Responsible for Environmental and Safety initiatives within area of delivery

Requirements:

• Experienced professional with technical leadership experience in all aspects of battery testing (validation, safety and abuse).
