Job Description

Xaira Therapeutics, an innovative biotech startup focused on leveraging AI, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their engineering team. The team works on critical systems throughout Xaira, and the new engineer will build their internal platform to support engineers, AI scientists, and the company as a whole.

This role involves:

  • Collaborating with experts in AI and Life sciences.
  • Shipping code daily.
  • Working autonomously.
  • Coming onsite to the Seattle office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • IaC and cloud resource deployment.
  • Improving tooling around core software asset types.
  • Improving developer experience tooling, such as CICD.
  • Building out the HPC GPU cluster for large scale model training.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or developer platform teams.
  • Expertise in an IaC tool such as terraform.
  • Familiarity with AWS compute, persistence, and networking technologies.
  • Experience with Python and Git.
  • Prior experience with HPC/GPU cluster performance for AI workloads.
  • Deep understanding of AWS and compute deployment options.
  • Prior experience developing infrastructure for biotech/life sciences workloads.
