Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Low Voltage Systems Engineer to contribute to the production of luxury electric vehicles. This role involves solving problems related to low voltage systems, ensuring design intent during assembly, and troubleshooting network issues.

Role Involves:

  • Solving complex component/system level problems.
  • Proactive problem solving & issue avoidance.
  • Enforcement of Low voltage/Lighting system assembly requirements.
  • Troubleshooting low voltage issues, including CAN/Ethernet/Lin network.
  • Understanding of Power distribution and grounding strategy.
  • Reading and interpreting 2D harness drawings and schematics.
  • Supporting design team in finding solutions for general assembly issues.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive; MS preferred).
  • 1-3 years of automotive experience in design and release and/or vehicle attributes.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing plants (OEM or Tier1).
  • Experience in harness manufacturing or harness design.
  • Participation in prototype builds or launch events.
  • Knowledge of 12v harness, ECUs, software flashing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform continuity checks and work a Multimeter.
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills using Atlassian products.
  • Willingness to travel between Casa Grande, AZ, and Newark, CA.
