Engineering Intern, Vehicle Engineering

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for their Engineering Hub in Munich. The intern will work on various aspects of the design process for Lucid vehicles. This includes design, analysis, prototyping, and validation of components and systems. The intern will collaborate with different technical departments within Lucid to ensure technical excellence and on-time delivery of vehicle components and systems.

Role involves:

• Working on all aspects of the design process.
• Contributing to a variety of projects.
• Collaborating with different technical departments within Lucid.
• Steering cross-functional teams.
• Designing, describing, and deploying quality processes.
• Applying problem-solving approaches to real-world manufacturing problems.
• Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners, external vendors, and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Currently working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• C1 level in English.
• Proficiency designing in a 3D CAD software (CATIA proficiency is a plus).
• Experience creating engineering drawings (GD&T experience is a plus).
• Proven interest in mechanical design engineering through extracurricular activities, academic projects, passion projects, or equivalent experiences (proven automotive or sustainability interest is a plus.
• Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals.
• Eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams while able to work independently.
• Must be detail-oriented and execution focused.
• Genuine curiosity and willingness to understand how our products are designed, built, and how they operate.
