Lucid Motors is seeking a CAE Structural Engineer to join their High Voltage Battery Multiphysics team. This role involves developing state-of-the-art FEA models of high voltage components and assemblies, such as battery packs and power electronics. The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude and strive for excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Role Involves:
Maintaining finite element models of cells, battery modules, and other high voltage components.
Performing strength, stiffness, PSD, and fatigue analysis on battery components.
Conducting advanced CAE simulations to evaluate the behavior of the cell, pack, and vehicle sub-systems under various conditions.
Characterizing battery-related materials.
Collaborating with technical teams and supporting design engineers.
Correlating CAE predictions to test results and developing advanced methodologies.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in FEA, Thermal-Structural Analysis, and physics-based modeling.
Strong knowledge of structural statics/dynamics, heat transfer, and Mechanical/Electrical engineering fundamentals.
Proficiency using FEA preprocessing tools such as ANSYS Mechanical or ABAQUS.
Geometry cleanup skills in CAD (Catia or SpaceClaim preferred).
Excellent communication skills.
