AirTrunk is seeking a Knowledge Management Lawyer to join their team in North Sydney. The Knowledge Management Lawyer will play a crucial role in enhancing the legal knowledge function, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance across legal and business teams.

The candidate will report to the Senior Director, Legal - Operations and will be responsible for developing precedents, maintaining legal resources, and supporting learning and development initiatives within the legal function. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in legal, risk, compliance, and operations to ensure that the legal team has the tools, resources and knowledge needed.

Role involves:

  • Developing a library of legal precedents, templates, playbooks, negotiation guides, automated documents, practice notes, checklists, toolkits and resources.
  • Overseeing the legal knowledge management system, ensuring all materials are accessible, up-to-date, and well organised.
  • Facilitate and lead internal training sessions for the legal team and other relevant business units.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and passed the bar/hold a license to practice law and at least 8 years PQE.
  • Strong background in legal knowledge management, with experience in managing and evolving a knowledge management function.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining legal precedents and templates.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to the business and ability to monitor and interpret legal changes.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a large volume of resources.
  • Effective communicator, capable of delivering training and engaging with multiple stakeholders across the business.
  • The ability to digest, analyse and succinctly communicate complex issues with clarity to both internal and external clients.
  • Interest in or experience of legal technology, including document automation, AI based tools and document execution tools
  • To be self-initiating and take a pro-active approach towards projects; seek direction and advice as needed but also prepared to take ownership and progress tasks independently.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and clearly in a multi-cultural environment.
