Senior Design Manager (Mechanical)

Job Description

AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join their team in Singapore. This role involves working closely with the Technology team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Senior Design Manager will manage design and construction teams as the project technical lead, driving continuous engineering solutions and leading the design of customer-centric solutions.

Role Involves:
• Leading a project design team from inception to delivery of multi-MW hyperscale solutions.
• Collaborating with top cloud and enterprise customers and delivering presentations on design aspects.
• Developing high-level master planning, space planning, and engineering solutions for potential new developments.
• Producing consultant briefs to develop designs from feasibility stage through concept, scheme, and detailed design stages.
• Coordinating technical aspects of direct procured equipment and facilitating alignment with the design team.
• Understanding commercial implications of engineering decisions and building cost models for customers.

Requirements:
• 10+ years' experience in design and project delivery.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering is a plus.
• Experience working for a Data Centre operator and previous hyperscale and cloud experience, ideally in the Asia Pacific market.
• Exceptionally flexible and forward-thinking.
• Willing to make decisions and be accountable for them.
• Excel at communication and can deliver effective presentations on Data Centre operations.
• Strong leadership and foresight to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple geographies.
• Willing to travel to other APAC regions on a regular basis.
