AirTrunk, a rapidly growing data centre company, is seeking a Site Selection & Acquisition Manager to join their team in Tokyo. This role is crucial for guiding the expansion of AirTrunk's facilities and services, focusing on identifying and assessing new locations throughout APAC and Japan.He or she will report to the Site Selection Acquisition Director, the Site Selection & Acquisition Manager will play a pivotal role in market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and due diligence processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in real estate and project management, with a preference for experience in the industrial or data centre sector. This individual will be responsible for managing a diverse team and ensuring alignment with AirTrunk's design philosophy and expansion goals.
Responsibilities: - Managing engineers, consultants, and real estate professionals for site selection.
- Engaging with stakeholders to identify business development opportunities.
- Conducting market analysis to identify site selection opportunities across APAC.
- Supporting the Site Selection Acquisition Director in negotiations.
- Reviewing contracts and agreements related to site selection.
- Working closely with the Business Development team on project cash flow models.
- Managing the site selection due diligence budget.
- Evaluating management systems and site conditions relative to risk appetite.
- Collaborating with the Technology team on design development.
- Working with the Data Analyst to map potential sites and customer AZs.
- Consolidating inputs, evaluating costs and risks, and selecting sites for development.
- Representing the Site Selection team in project meetings.
- Supporting the Site Selection Acquisition Director in preparing presentation materials.
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in the real estate/project management sector.
- Background in the industrial/data centre sector is preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Strong quantitative skills are a plus.
