AirTrunk is seeking a Project Director to be based in Johor Bahru. The Project Director will report to the Development Manager and be responsible for the delivery of large-scale data centre projects. The role involves strong leadership, strategic planning, and coordination with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing the construction phases of data center facilities.
  • Ensuring alignment with AirTrunk values and objectives.
  • Maintaining a culture that promotes safety to the highest standards
  • Monitoring overall project programme to ensure adherence to key contract milestones and deadlines.
  • Controlling project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and financial accountability.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Identifying and reporting potential risks and issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Supporting the Services and Commissioning teams.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' construction experience within projects over 30,000 m2.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/civil engineering or project/construction management.
  • Experience working for a data centre operator/previous hyperscale or cloud provider in the APAC market.
  • Exceptionally flexible and forward-thinking.
  • Results focussed and a “get things done” approach.
  • Prepared to travel across APAC as required.
