Senior Project Manager at AirTrunk

AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Melbourne. This role, reporting to the Project Director, will be responsible for program management as AirTrunk expands its operations beyond MEL1. The Senior Project Manager will lead all aspects of construction-related activities for new builds, including scope, timeline, and quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the project program to ensure objectives and milestones are met.
• Liaising with the General Contractor and suppliers.
• Managing project risks.
• Reviewing constructability of electrical and mechanical system designs.
• Building and managing project scope and equipment requirements.
• Collaborating with the project team to resolve risks and issues.
• Tracking project progress and ensuring safety.
• Overseeing the development and review of tender packages.
• Developing and providing cost reporting.
• Reviewing vendor claims.
• Managing handover of completed projects.
• Assisting in the continued improvement of program processes and design standards.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of construction experience in Australia (in projects over 30,000 m2).
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or architecture.
• Experience working for a data center operator or hyperscale/cloud provider in the APAC market.
• Extensive knowledge of building construction and cost control/reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Project skills.
• Strong commercial and contract administration acumen.
• Ability to develop and grow a high-functioning team.
• Prepared to travel across APAC as required.
